While their original drummer was away playing shows with another band I snuck in and took hold of the sticks for a while, the highlight of which was playing at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona. We had a dressing room next to Dizzee Rascal. He didn’t want to be my friend.
I eventually convinced the band that they needed two drummers and we started working on an album. Sadly it wasn’t to be as the band leader moved to Berlin to pursue a career in Europop. In fact, he penned this year’s Belgian entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.
This American Men track is from their only release, to date, on the commendable Lucky Me label.
